Lih-Ching Lin-Infinite Charm of the Organ

Lih-Ching Lin graduated from National Taiwan University of the Arts. She studied composition with Professors Wei-Liang Shu and Shui-Long Ma.

When she studied in Germany, she performed in many places, including radio broadcasts (Deutsche Welle and Bayerischer Rundfunk). Then she graduated from Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Theater München in Germany, majoring in pipe organ. Later, she earned the highest diploma in organ performance, the “Konzertexamen“ (with Professor Gerhard Weinberger), and an artistic diploma for the harpsichord from Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Detmold. She then studied more pipe organ repertoire with Prof. Dr. Michael Schneider in Köln, Prof. Marie-Claire Alain in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, and Domorganist Prof. Franz Lehrndorfer in München.

Lih-Ching Lin held many organ recitals, including at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, Lukaskirche München, Merseburger Dom, Bamberger Dom, and Nikolaikirche Berlin, etc. She also performed with the French Broadcasting Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, and Taipei Philharmonic Choir, etc.

She has taught at Tainan University of Technology and Taipei National University of the Arts for many years. Lih-Ching Lin currently lives in Germany.
